Fuerte San Cristóbal   Largest fortification built by the Spanish in the New World; designated a World Heritage site in 1983. (787) 729-6777

La Fortaleza   The first fortification built in 1533 to defend San Juan served as the home for 16th and 17th century colonial governors. Currently the official residence and administrative headquarters of the governor. (787) 721-7000
